Itemization

Dear Wolcen-Team, lovely community,
I've played Wolcen for 51 hours and I have some suggestions for the itemization.

General: Quite often it happened to me that an item dropped at a higher level and it's stats were worse than the item I already wear, which is 5 level behind. Even though most rare items don't have a main-stat like Ferocity, Toughness, Agility, Wisdom, which is the reason most of them feel very redundant even with a higher itemlevel,
That stand out especially with unique items.
Once dropped "Morbid Retribution" at level 28. I already had one on level 24. The level 28 one had less:
*[+ 2% Ailment Damage], [1 Ferocity], [+7% Attack Speed Score]
The difference between both of them wasn't that big. But because of that and some other drops like that, every time an unique drop I don't feel excited about it anymore. Due to the experience of higher level drops, which often weren't an improvement.

Cursed Chest's: Until now we have the problem that the "Cursed Chest" in a dungeon doesn't give a proper reward. When I run a veteran dungeon on level 7 and after I cleansed a "Cursed Chest" I still get loot on itemlevel 20, feels just like a bad joke. And we have to keep in mind that the spawned enemies from the chest have the same level like all the other monsters in this dungeon. I don't know if that works as intended or it is still in work in progress.

Suggestion: Play a little bit more around with the stat increase linked to the itemlevel and let us test that. I would also give every armor-type Sorcerer, Rogue, Bruiser, Heavy one of the main-stats, which raises with the itemlevel.
For example: Sorcerer -> Wisdom || Rogue -> Agility || Bruiser -> Ferocity || Heavy -> Toughness.
Now let's say that Sorcerer Armor with itemlevel 30 has 15 wisdom (2:1 itemlevel/stat ratio). Then another Sorcerer armor piece
drops with itemlevel 32, which will have 16 wisdom. That way we always have some improvement with higher level items. But
depending on the secondary-stats and what our build is focused on, it won't be necessarily be an improvement.

For the "Cursed Chest" I recommend to let them drop the same itemlevel like the spawned enemies had.

I know you people work really hard on this game and try to give your best. But pleas don't forget that one of the most important part of those type of games are the loot-system. Right now it isn't quite enjoyable so work with us on it. As long as the game isn't fully released people are more forgiving than after release. Use that to test things out even if they seem totally stupid at first hand.
If the loot-system is enjoyable at the release people can still enjoy the game while they wait for new features.

I am curious what your thoughts are and those of all the community-members. Do you agree or disagree with me? Do you like my suggestion or do you have a better idea?

If there are some things unclear or not understandable, than ask me right away.

Best regards,

Krytion

I agree. Wolcen right now is kinda experiencing the same disaster that Diablo 3 had at the very beginning, the loot was a complete joke.
Items with intelligence and stamina for Barbarians, Strenght on staves and wands etc. etc. I really hope that is is being worked on and will be improved upon release because let's be honest, the game is all about the loot. Without good loot, you just can't progress. And we all want to progress. Please, for the sake of it, don't do same mistakes other games have done and suffered heavily because of them. I love Wolcen and I really want for it to be very successful.
