Alright... One thing I was hoping would have been changed since my hiatus is that when I am level 67, doing a level 67 expedition map... why am I getting level 50 drops? Nothing kills motivation more than seeing this.

I think you are mistaking item level with required level. :-)
Required level will always be 50, however, if you check the item level, it will be the same as the expedition level.
You can show item level in Settings -> Gameplay Settings -> Show item level (Bottom right)

That's good to know because on quick review of the picked up item I always see that and almost immediately dismiss it without even comparing stats because of this. Thank you for this clarification.

Toggling item level is an option in the majority of games, because it is implied that items scale with the expedition level. Also, having the choice is less confusing for newer player, since item level is only relevant after the campaign.
Whether or not it will be toggled by default in the future will have to be discussed with the community and the designers. :)
