+1 I do not want to use a melee or gun wep that regenerates rage in place of a Staff which regnerates willpower but has god awful stats

Could not agree more: I desperately want a one handed mage weapon of some kind, particularly so i can make a tank/mage support character that equates to a Paladin/Cleric without using the unique shield that gives a melee character access to Sacred Spells.
Also yes, definitely the ability to replenish Willpower on autoattack instead of Rage so there is a reason to attack instead of actively making you NOT want to attack. Currently the only way I see to get Willpower back on this type of character (one handed weapon plus shield/mage offhand, but using spells {ie: gun plus mage offhand}) is to use abilities that use large amounts of rage at once which often have a long cooldown as well meaning you can't cast your spells very often. This also takes up ability slots on your hotbar, which is not ideal.
