Petition to keep the ability to upgrade uniques.

After sinking over 750 hours into testing this game through the alpha and beta, giving my recommendations on how uniques are mostly terrible and not useful, a bug entered the game on launch that should be viewed as a blessing in disguise.
The ability to upgrade uniques from their current state to add stat lines, sockets, and the ability to craft on those items using rng crafting materials is the answer to those concerns.

I am writing this to petition that this ability be left in the game because it not only makes uniques that would otherwise be useless in the end game usable, but it adds a meta game of crafting with a sizable money sink for end game grinding, helps make more unique endgame builds viable and opens the door for great customization. You should definitely consider leaving this in the game even if it were slightly nerfed by reducing the stat lines added to 4 instead of 6.

This is the only way I can think of that saves uniques in their current state (which is the state that they have always been in) while also adding to the end game experience.
Please respond below if you agree with me so we can impress upon the devs that this is a good thing to be in the game.

P. S. I love this game, I just want to help where I can.

i think we should keep this as well, or at least add another node that adds this feature with some inflated values to the champions of stormfall map. This is a feature that is truly unique to this game as an ARPG.

The current uniques we have are fun, but in terms of endgame progression, they are rather weak. So weak in fact, that the build variety they add is not enough for me at least to use them. For both diablo and poe, the uniques were also suffering from the same issue. They are fun because they can change up your gameplay for the moment they are 'useful', but quickly fall off when you're starting up the end game content.

I have seen a handful of uniques that have some really amazing perks, and i could see how the passive tree could be built around that unique to really make that item shine. But the stat loss was not worth building into. I just discovered you could do this, and started grinding. But then found out it was going to be patched out, and was so disappointed to hear this.
