Some 1H caster weapon would be good, but I don't wanna see staves die out.. Sadly, I' dont remember seeing any game that has managed to strike a good balance between staves and a combination of two 1H caster items. Two 1H items mean more stats/bonuses, more sockets, more unique properties/effects etc. why would anyone bother using a staff, a single item, when they can use two items? Unless both options (staff vs. two 1H items) have their own specific, unique mechanism that supports a different playstyle, it just boils down to more stats vs. less stats, more damage vs. less damage, making items simply cosmetics, without any meaningfull difference between them. I don't think it's impossible to do this right, it just needs some extra creativity instead of just tweaking a few numbers, hoping to fit everything into the same box..
