There is currently only 1 unique weapon that even has sockets, which as far as i know can be modified aswell.
But since most of the uniqes are rather underwhelming atm, they simply suck balls (too low dmg), there is no real reason to play with uniques atm.
Best would be to wait for a better weapons, which wont take too long, as i said, uniques are kinda weak atm.

Uniques are ok to get you through most of the story mode, but endgame you want Legendaries since they're modifiable. Some of the uniques that let you use skills outside of your normal options are really the only reason you would use any in the endgame.

Fair points. I noticed the title and description may have been misleading, and could describe two different issues then.

The title suggests that, as far as I collected (correct me if I'm wrong on this, because I'd love to be wrong on that), only weapons can give the offensive socket type? I found a website (link on bottom of reply) that says that's the case. That was mainly the purpose of the thread.

The description was more with the intention to give context of how I learned about it, while also pointing out it could be an issue to have only 1 source giving the sockets. Especially considering that as is, most uniques don't come with sockets :/ Reading that the uniques are rather underwhelming does make it sound like they would be less sought out than the legendary counterparts, and that would be the other issue.

there is a 2hander: rigards hope with 3 sockets, but you cant reroll on those sockets. Since it has 2x offensive 2 socket it quite useless for melee plauers :(
