Allow potions to be used mid-animation?

I know this game is supposed to be more slower paced than other ARPGs, so call me biased for being a fan of fast paced gameplay which allowed this kind of thing, but it feels sluggish and unresponsive since health potions (among others) are supposed to be reactive. Perhaps I'm still not used to the sudden transition, but I'd like to hear what others think.

Agreed, there should be any lockout times, or frames for potion usage.
This seems more like an oversight.

To tack on to this allow us to break an animation to do something else as a caster sucks to get ran over while in mid cast hitting space bar to move out of the way but cant
