Breakable items/crates etc feel clunky to attack

I have more trouble breaking items/crates in maps (as melee) than I do killing mobs. The targeting and hit box feels clunky and should be improved. Maybe make the collision area smaller and the actual hit box slightly larger?

i stopped breaking boxes and crates, there is no real reward anyway. all you get is is small bits of gold anyway. Getting gold is easier by just selling loot

It's a good way to generate rage early on and I have gotten gems.

cant be botherd to much with gems and such, gear keeps getting changed so fast as long as you lvl up anyways.
There are rage generating skills as well you know.

I'm aware. The fact that you can't be bothered to break any of these items in the map is a good indication that there's something wrong with them. I don't need to OCD break every item in the map, but it's definitely not as seamless as it is in games like Diablo 3.
