Warn users that offline characters can't be played online.

I wasn't expecting that, bought the game, online mode was not available and I simply thought online mode means play with other people. My thinking was I start playing offline as I want to finish campaign solo anyway and then I'll play with others in the end game. I've played good 6h which is now ruined, as I dont see the point of having offline only character. There was no explanation what offline mode is and no warning that an offline character will not be able to be used to played online in the future.

Self explanatory really, otherwise the option would be just "create a character" not online/offline character.

Edit your game files, and go online with BiS, unlimited gold and resources?

No its not self explanatory enough. I understand the reasons, but it just isn't clear enough for new players. When I bought the game there was just offline mode and that's it. 2 other people who started playing with me thought the same. So I'm not the only stupid one. On top of that I am professionally a UX designer, so as per my suggestion, there should be a notificiation as what is going to happen.
