I think it was necessary to balance the skills out. The overall problem seems to me, that there are currently no fun mods now.
I'm very curious if the new uniques will safe it somehow.

The fight in the linked vid (like every other BE vid since the patch. No offense and thanks for the effort!) looks pretty unfun and is pretty much impossible to complete if the boss has the regeneration mod I've seen more than once since the patch. Not viable in this case if my guess is right.

On the other hand Bleeding Edge is still one of the most powerful skills, if not the strongest melee skill.
