How "mage" do you want? There is a rage tank with bleeding edge that uses a couple mage spells to refund the will power build up, so its a unique take on it. But if you want more mage oriented then theres a couple options i have seen floating around, such as golem with taunt, or something like circle mage with bulwark and tons of vamp.
