I've been following this game since the days it was called Umbra and one of Diablo 3 streamers(Moldran) was showcasing it. I had really high hopes for the game at first, then as the alpha released ans I started reading reviews for it, I understood that the game is pretty meh. It kinda looked meh as well. Anyways, since POE league is pretty much over now and there's almost a month till the release of the new one, I've decided to give it a shot.
This game is a shameless rip-off of Diablo 3 and POE and I don't mind it to be honest, as long as it's done right. While Wolcen has some interesting ideas, there are some questionable decisions too, like the wisdom/rage bar, which basically forces you to use two use both of them, otherwise you're missing out on an effectiveness, the ridiculous prices for refunds of passive tree and traits FOR THE FREAKING LEVEL 20, I mean come on son, you are supposed to reset your tree several times until you figure out shit, and here you can't do it, cuz it's fucking expensive.
I'd go on playing actually if not for the ridiculous amount of bugs, yeah I get that this is an indie game and it has just been released, but the amount of bugs is mesmerizing. And finally the uber broken boss of act 1, I mean what's the point of making him such a pain in the ass? Why would I google how to defeat this boss and read through dozens of posts just to see that some people struggle with his third phase just like me and some others have miraculously defeated him on the first attempt.
Just super annoying game with some very weird decision making from devs when it comes to gameplay.
