as the title says, i cant figure it out... is it just pure luck to get a 1-hander with 600+ dmg or is there crafting involved? appreciate all the help! :)

The way I have been doing all this time:
1. Get a rare (yellow) weapon with 2 (or if lucky, 3) OFFENSIVE (I) gem slots.
2. Use Entropy Orb reagent to get random effects with high damage.
3. Use other reagents and gems to add / remove effects.
4. If satisfied, upgrade quality to 5 stars.
5. Upgrade rarity to Legendary (red).

You mention "other reagents" - among you endgame players (I am only lvl 70) - is there a kind of general advise how to proceed? I mean, most reagents just randomly change stats. So, if you are pleased after entropying an item, isn't it rather "dangerous" to apply randomizing reagents?
