How to fight Demon of Souls

OK, How the heck are you supposed to fight these OP mobs, whenever they start to take damage they simply sink into the ground and appear somewhere else, they lock you in a coccoon and then pull a gazzilion bombs on top of you.

What is a decent strat for fighting them.

Thanks

Mentioning what type of character you play would help a lot. I always pew pew from afar and dodge all the time, but that's because I'm an archer.

Try to stun or ice them. With Lightning, or Ice it work. I do "The Ice Aura"-Skill. Hold enemies 3 seconds iced.

Yop!

Playing a tank myself and those Demons of Souls aren't a big deal. That being said, I don't know your level/expedition level.

Few tips that may help:
-You can dodgeroll their grab&sink attack whenever the red area pop under your feet. If not, you're still able to dodgeroll right after it. And as a last option, you should be able to tank it and not being OS.
-The fact that they sink a lot isn't a big deal if you took the modifier on Wings of Ishmir that allow the spell to use Stamina instead of cooldown. Just Ishmir on them whenever they do sink.
-Their laser-beam-of-the-dead isn't a big deal as well. First they cast those millions balls around them that turn and then collapse together. At the time they collapse, dodgeroll out and instantly Ishmir back on the demon to start dps again. Laser is easy to: dodge by running/rolling around ; tank with Juggernaut ; sustain with attacks if you have some Life Leech (which you should).

I play tank too. How I play it:
1. Just keep run around close to him while spamming Bleeding Edge or Bladestorm. Stop while he casts (if you are beside or behind him) and use that opportunity to do normal weapon hits to recover some Rage. Can use potion or Wings of Ishmir too.
2. Save at least 1 Dodge / Roll. When he teleports you to him, use it ASAP. The attack after that is dangerous (only applied if you cannot escape the sink). When he is gone, that is the sign that he will teleport you. Run around. Don't stand still. You can just roll when the red circle under you stops following you.
3. Save another dodgeroll. Use the dodgeroll to 'pass through' the incoming orbs. You won't get much damage. After being far away from him, dash attack him (or use Wing of Ishmir) to get close.
4. Save Juggernaut for the laser beam. Take the laser beam head on. It will damage himself quite a lot. Use the opportunity to use normal weapon hits to recover some Rage. It won't be a problem if you have high resistance:
- Juggernaut with (+dmg absorption) and Crushing Wall modifiers.
- Proud Reprisal from the Arms Maester passive skill tree.
- Blessed Mana, Sacred Oath and Selfless Courage from Praetorrian passive skill tree.
- Can also combo it with Sovereign Shout (with +resistance, +block chance, +health globes) if it's not on cooldown.

Just keep him at a wide area. It's hard to run around if he teleports you near a wall. If that happens, kite him back to a wide area. It's easier to dodgeroll or use Wings of Ishmir if there are adds around.

Thanks for the replys, yes finally realised the dodge roll, I had previously been using a build which caused your stance to change on rolls, but have changed my build so dodging works wonders.

Also upgraded some gear and can now tank him more effectively.

Nice this Forum far less Toxic and helpful than Discord.
