If you take the Plagueburst upgrade for targeted cast it will explode your summons. I have noticed that you have to cast it on top of them for them to explode. For instance, if you cast it on yourself and move the Plagueburst radius into the summons they don't explode. Also, if you target cast the ground and your summons are outside of the initial cast area and move into it, they don't explode.
I think this is fine because it allows you to cast, explode your summons, and then they resummon and can move to attack enemies that might still be within the Plagueburst AoE and not just explode again. I'm not sure I like blowing up my summons seems to be very situational and more often then not you are leaving yourself vulnerable for a moment unless you teleport away some how.
