Emm, pick up gem (left click), move to socket you want to insert it, put it in (left click). Not sure what could possibly go wrong as this is something your cat can do, so if it doesnt work you should report it as a bug.

Thanks for your reply. That's how I thought it worked, just like in other games I"ve played, but it's not working. I can not insert a gem into a socket on a piece of gear when I'm playing the game.

I just checked the game 3 minutes ago, and still cannot put a gem into a socket. So what do I do now? I've heard this game is buggy and was hesitant in buying it, but I took a leap of faith anyway. I'm starting to regret that decision when something so basic is not working.

I've managed to get a few gems into sockets, but I have to fish around for the correct placement. If I try to put the gem directly into the socket hole on the piece of gear I'm augmenting, it won't work. I have to put the gem into the lower left hand corner of the box the gear sits in, and sometimes it works. At other times I just wave the gem around, very slowly, and it slips into the socket.

Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. There's more gems I want to put into sockets but it's just not working all the time.

I think I"m done with this game. This is obviously ridiculous. I doubt if its on my end, I've never had problems like this with any game before, and it's not my first time playing a game. My computer is fairly new and there's no problem with other games. As boring as Diablo 3 is I've never had problems like this with that game, or Grim Dawn either. I just don't get it.

hmm im not sure whats the problem, one thing i can think of - try to change game resolution, maybe thats the problem? maybe u click on the one place on the screen and the game sees it somwhere else...

Well besty, that did work to a degree. I changed the resolution like you suggested to the next lowest one, I think it's 19XXx1440, It was set at 24XXx1440. I forget the exact numbers. I am able to slot the gems now whenever I try it, so that's great. But the cursor movement is still a bit sluggish, not crisp and sharp like other games/applications, but it's tons better.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to tweek it a bit more in the future. And you're right, this is a fine game and I'm having fun so far.

no problem, i tried very different resolutions and i thought so it might the case, im playing 55 tv and for me the game is running and looks good only on the one resolution
