Same bug here, stuck in the second phase of the final boss fight and can't complete the Story :/

Devs, any update on this? Any idea if a hotfix is being worked on?

I've tried a lot. no chance . the tips didn't help either. sry i'm angry right now. i love the game, but the bug is just killing me.

Hey everyone work around is "dont hit him when hes transforming to apoc for 2 secs" can confirm it works finished act 3 finally after 1 day stuck with that glitch.

Update. Well, after trying multiple times, I managed to kill him. Just turn on Story mode, and burst him in phase 2 and 3 before he starts transforming.

I have the same issue. The comment about ailments was really helpful. When I refrained from summoning I managed to get past the second part of the fight. The game froze during the third.

Same tried 4 times - 1st and 2nd time he froze and couldn't take damage in the second phase of fight - 3rd try actually got through to 3 phase but died. 4th go it froze in same place again - middle of second phase.

easily 20 times attempting this. im having to slowly kite him around and try not to damage to much in a single set of attacks.... most of the time he still freezes in phase 2 and i restart. ONE time out of the 20 ive made it to phase 3 just to have him freeze again.
some of the time he has transformed, others he hasnt.
a bug this many days into it without getting fixed is a bit retarded.
Im literally just stuck here till you decide to fix it and it wasnt in todays patch that took a week to come out.

yeah, if you do too much dmg too fast he quits.

Edit: beat it but, I had to do it sooooooooooooooooooooooooo slowly.

i cant do it slow enough.. he walks into my damage while transforming and that ends it.

I also today have this bug, starting everytime when he looses around 25-30% of his HP... really annoying

This is actually just ridiculous...this hard bug is known for a week...and still nothing happens...wtf are you doing...fix that finaly!!!!

Friend and I has same trouble 2 hours ago, then we fingued out.

DON'T FREEZE HIM AS TIME HE TRYING TO FLY (DONT USE ANY SKILL THAT MAKE HIM STOP).

JUST DPS AND BURST HIM DOWN.

So basically the work around for this is when in phase 2 and phase 3, you have to not hit him when he is transforming into his dark ascended form with the shield. If you hit Helmlock when he transforms from his normal self to the ascended form, he will glitch every time. So, basically wait until he transforms and wait for him to move to you (very important), once he is moving towards you for an attack, you can hit him again. I said waiting for him to move to you is important because this confirms he didn't glitch out and freeze so you can continue destroying him knowing the glitch didn't happen. This glitch is a gamebreaking glitch, but it is doable if you want to get to endgame content if you do not want to wait for them to fix it (been a week lol).

That being said, endgame is having some glitches of its own too. So I would probably hold off from the game until another patch is released, hopefully fixing a lot of the glitches that are seriously making the game unplayable.

P.S. - I can't confirm this, but almost every time in phase 2 or 3, he would transform after you shield break him. So this might be helpful to try and time not hitting him during his transformation. Hope this helps people understand how to get around this glitch some more! Great game, poorly launched sadly. ALSO REMEMBER TO FOLLOW THIS FOR BOTH PHASE 2 AND PHASE 3.

Same issue freezing in either phase 2 or 3 after about 30 attempts I've given up. I cannot dps him slow enough and if my aoe's are on the ground when he decides to change its more then enough to glitch him out. The way the game is built theres really no reason to make another character and clearing area's I already have seems pointless as the gear dropped is a lower level and you cannot even fight the bosses again.

I don't understand how a game breaking bug that is literally stopping the community from completing the campaign and progressing into endgame is still here after more then a week.

The best way to beat him is with non aoe range or melee attacks that just hit for massive damage. And yeah, I agree with you with this being a game breaking glitch for Wolcen. Yeah it is doable, but it should not have to come to us the community having to try and figure out workarounds around something that should not be happening in the first place. I would say give them a month or 2, or wait until the next patch to see if a lot of the game breaking glitches are fixed, that is what I am doing now.
