I can see how this would work...however, playing a poison build unfortunately makes this incredibly hard, especially not being able to control the stacks and how hard they may hit... I will keep plugging away, but hopefully this is fixed soon.

Confirmed! Just don't attack for 2 sec after he transformed, that's about it!

I can attest to this. Without having to respec by passive build in order just to get past this last boss, not much can be done except wait.

That's understandable of course. But we don't know when they will fix that. Depending on your Level a reskill (and reversing back) should come in at around 20k Gold and 2k Primordials. That's about 1 hour max in endgame farming. It's up to you if that's worth the hassle.

ahh great that to complete the campaing i must do a specific pj and do that ritual cause they have broke the game, and not fix it in more than 8 hours

doesnt work for me i try to get him to transform 1 hit at a time to make sure i dont damage to much but he still freezes

After much MUCH trial and error. I found what was keeping me from completing was using the spell anomaly. Minions are okay. I thought that was a problem but was successful with Livor Mortis up. I kept pretty ranged so was never close enough for Bulwark of Dawn to bug out either. Just be aware.

tested almost 10 times and he freezes even when im not firing anything at him and running around the circle. going to wait for the patch :'(

Same, Ive tried the no damage thing, but even if 1 dot is on him it wont work.

i would have to farm more affinity, respec completely, then kill him. All to just respec again once I kill him.... thats not cool. All my skills fo dot damage.

This really needs to be fixed immediately.

Same, just transforming he freezes. Impossible kill without being able to do damage. It's a critical bug.

i play a dot build too and it worked out for me even with little dmg on him. I think its more a problem when you do to much dmg before he transforms for the second time in phase two. This problem appears in other games as well, when a Boss has different phases or changes his attack behavior in the fight.

I just killed him as DOT build after 5-10 tries. Phase 1 just kill him ASAP. Phase 2 dont damage him while he is transforming. Then just auto attack him and use bulwark of dawn, summon as well. No ananomy. Rinse and repeat, and I passed him.

This does work for builds that revolve around poison damage.

Wolcen staff, get your shit together - this is a game breaking bug, get it fixed immediately.

I also have build that revolves around damage over time, so it took me 10+ tries to use this work around, a bit of an annoying anti climax for an otherwise vary fun story campaign.

I was running Plague Burst, Anomoly, Consuming Embers and Bleeding Edge. After a dozen freezes I swapped out Plague Burst and Anomoly for Infinity Blades and Annihilation. I took care not to attack him until he started moving after each transformation and I got him first try. DOTs are obviously the issue so for now you can to swap those out for any other skills you have leveled up and make the best of it. It's crazy we have to find workarounds but this worked for me.
