solution :

Open XXXX.json

Go to :

Change INTRO_Quest1 with "ACT2_Quest1"

the 1 can be changed, test to see how many quest you had made by changing the number

I tried this fix and now it crashes every time I log out :( looks like i'm starting from the beginning but at level 29 with all my skills and passives haha

I have the same issue. I got to a vault in act 2 and the quest didn't progress so I decided to restart the game. After I logged on again I was at the beginning of act 2. I have to basically redo 5 waypoints worth of content, which is kinda sucky.

Can confirm the OP's issue. Game froze in act 2 had to force restart the game, when it launched I was put back to Act 1 intro after spending approximately 14 hours of played time to reach act 2. Granted I am still level 29, but this must be addressed as soon as possible to prevent further time loss. Without ruining plot; I was just past my first encounter with a "new" cult that appeared in the story line in act 2 when my game froze in combat and then upon restart was reset to the tutorial. Flesh Forest? IIRC

Yeap, this just happened to me about 25 minutes ago - came to google a fix and here I am. After enjoying this game for 13 hours straight I ran into the exact same issue. Cutlist lady told me to kill bad cultist man, opened the gate and I couldn't walk through it, there was an invisible barrier.

Relogged - and was greeted with the intro beginning cutscene and the tutorial stage. I have all my passive and abilities, I am missing a few attacks on my mouse skills but I am souried by this bug. I already had to deal with some annoying stuff in my playthrough (falling through the floor, enemies and loot and I are standing on different planes of existence, and missing entrance queues at the entrances.)

Please get a fix, honestly I hope to god there is going to be one. I love what I'm playing so far - but I don't think I'll be able to muscle through another 13 hours. I really don't want to dust this game and give it a terrible review over a day one bad bug. Please get it a fixed, love the game. But please get this nasty glitch out with a proper fix.

I decided to swing a bat at the hornet's nest and try an exit on Act 3. Upon exiting to menu, closing the game client, relaunching then entering the game, then exiting the session again, my progress was untouched. Looks like a problem with Act 2 specifically.

It seems to be a safer alternative to play through Act 2 all in one session (if you even can), fiddling around in the files to revert a messed up save should that ever happen.

I can't say what others' experiences would be, however.

If it's not there, give it some time. I'm sure the devs will be working hard to patch up these things, given the game's major success.

Also this issue isn't on the trello as far as what I saw (checked today as of posting this)

patch 1.0.2.0 ER seems to have solved this annoying bug for me in offline mode. :)

I still lose my progression, every single time. When i escape the game and revisit its nothing there.
Patches didnt work for me except that i could play online mode in theory.
Any further solution to solve the problem?I mean i would be really happy to play the game finally and not being afraid to lose everything over and over again.
