GPU overheating

So i bought the game/beta access and i really like it so far. My only problem is that even on low settings, I am constantly between 75-80 °C on the GPU with fan speed manually adjusted/increased for higher temperatures. To compare it to other games, i get like 65-70ish in Overwatch and 60 ish in Path of Exile, just in the Sirus fight (for those of you playing poe) the temperature spikes a little over 70°C.

I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080. Any ideas how to fix the high temperatures?

Cheers

Hi Yusero.
You are not the only one with this issue. My Asus Strix laptop CPU and GPU are reaching 80-85 degrees in a matter of minutes and the laptop keeps entering protection mode (it basically goes into a sort of sleep mode).
If this is not fixed, seems I will have to go back to D3 and POE.

kinda same here. Either PC goes into shutting down & restart itself, or screen turning black.
Tried an fresh clean windows install + wolcen complete reinstall with release. still same problems.

Having this same problem. I really want to play the game we've waited way too long to play already, but not at the risk of frying my gpu. No matter what setting I lower or alter in game or nvidia control panel, it doesn't help. It gets hotter and hotter until 84c (my setting for the max heat I'll allow) and then becomes unplayable because of throttling. Unacceptable all things considered.

There is an easy solution for this :).
I just read this morning that 3 new sets will be released in season 20 for D3 :) a new set for barb, 1 for wizard with multiple hydra heads and 1 for witch doctor.
I told myself I will not go back to D3 but now it seems like a very good bet.
At least that game is working perfectly

Hey guys, also had this issue, I've just created a separate profile in MSI Afterburner for this game specifically - I've set my 2080ti to run at just over 1350mhz (it's core clock speed) constantly, with a fan curve that sees the fans running at 100% when temps go to 50°. So far so good! Not reaching 84° within 5 minutes like it used to.

You can see what Voltage/Frequency curve I've got going here: https://ibb.co/tKbKq1z

Game is running at around 130fps and temps are not going over 70°.

Hope this helps!
