Online server status (From Wolcen Tweet)

Hello everyone,

After applying a hotfix last friday, users reported that their characters were missing, their stashes emptied, and their endgame progression wiped.

Immediately, we took the decision to shut down servers to prevent this from happening to a large amount of players while we find a way to fix it.

This issue was caused by a too large amount of requests leading the database to drop. We contacted our partners and looked for a solution with them, but that implied rolling back to a previous save of the database shortly before the hotfix.

Since then, we are working with our partners to restore the database and merge it with the current one, while fixing the issues that caused these incidents.

Unfortunately, other complications appeared in the process that led us to continuously push back the ETAs we provided for the resolution of the situation, and we're still working hard to fix these issues and make sure that the game works properly Online, which can still take some time.

Know that we're aware of other issues, including issues impacting the game's economy, and we're also working on them.

We want to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and to assure you that we're working around the clock to fix everything and ensure that you will have a pleasant experience when the Online mode comes back.

We will keep you informed on the evolution of the situation.

Bite the bullet and wipe it all!
Start fresh with a uncorrupted database, fix the economy exploit and let us play. Its only been online for one day, and most of the playerbase will be happy.
Even people who played a lot online are happy to start over, instead of waiting..

The angry mob with torches and pitchforks over on Twitter and Steamforum are getting impatient. :D

Alright honestly I'm getting tired of the complaints about it "not working" or "Shittiest launch ever" and so on. Do anyone of you know how much more players they got when they released the game compared to the beta? The game still works. If you are that picky about online then well be gone(?). That the servers colapsed isn't something they counted on or planned? Shit happens. Get over it. Grown ups crying like small childs because they can't paly online.

At this point... forget the roll-back. We lost 3 days of play time for 1 day of items. We could've regeared thrice in that time.

Then you'll play next weekend ? What's wrong with you guys ? I understand that it's disappointing, i kinda prepared myself to enjoy Wolcen this weekend too, but hey, it's not there, w/e, let's just do what we used to do without Wolcen ? Remember about a week ago, what's different now ?
I'm confused when I read some posts, It looks like you put too much importance in it... It's a game, relax.

The game was more then fine during the beta. Now it's an overflow of people. they had around 1k-1.5k players during beta and when it released they sold around 60k if I'm not misstaken. So going from 1k-1.5k to 60k (more or less) is quite a jump. I don't think anyone at Wolcen expected it do blow up like it did. Hence the problems. You can be mad all you want. I'm mad as well because I love the game. But complaining isn't going to help. Nor giving devs shit. Not saying you are doing either of those. But there are alot of people doing it

u dont launch a game with out the biggest server capacity there is on the market then later u can set it down not the other way around that just stupid and a no brain everyone make that mistake and im fck tired of saying it on every game forum being made like no one have a brain in any game making teams

no but for us that want a refund for game and cant get it because paid for it when it first arrived at steam in early access cant get there money back for it because they have been playing it for over 2 hours! and it is not disappointing i really just dont care if this game live or dies anymore and everything else getting boring fast have over 500 games on steam at least 100 other games on other place and all it boring been completing everything over 10 times just not fun anymore

Speak for yourself. I played for hours and i do not want to play that boring first part again. Im quite far and i do not wish to start over. Just be patience about their fix. Im okay with waiting. But wiping is shit. I prefer waiting.

we need a wiped because of some bugs that made people get all the legendary's they wanted to have and all the money in the game that is why they need to wipe everything and it take like 1 hour to complete act 1 and another hour for act 2 and 30 min for act 3 with right build
