This has been happening a lot with me too. The game performs fine initially and it gives me random freezes when I either go to a new part of the map, about to initiate a boss fight or right before a mob dies. When it happens in online mode it boots me off the server and back to the main menu, which has led me to make a new character in offline mode in frustration. The game doesn't crash, it just freezes with ongoing ambient background sounds. Please help I'd like to enjoy the game online for what it's meant for.

No crash, just freeze for about 1,2min while background sound and music still playing, then it will resume.

This happen very randomly everywhere at any time (currently playing offline mode)

my gf and i have just bought the game and we have the same issues. The game often freezes and sometimes disconnects us sometimes continues after 1/2 minutes

I'm having the same problem, at the moment the game is unplayable, this keeps happening all the time.
The game frezzes randomly for about 1 or 2 min until it crashes to the main menu.
My specs are:

CPU - AMD FX-8320
GC - GTX 960 4G
Ram - 8G
OS - Windows 10

The game is installed in a 450g ssd drive.

Apparently this issue is not resolved. Same thing. Its random. Mid animation, or after a kill, or using a leap skill sometimes and stuck frozen in mid air. And I only played this game for maybe an hour in total and right out of the gate there were bugs. I'll post in another thread for those.

I have two monitors and like to be able to tab out of game without it minimizing so I changed it to Borderless Windowed. I adjusted no other settings.

Random freezes here as well.

Same, random freezes. Different parts of an act, doing different skills and really sucks when you lose all progression to the next waypoint, i've spent 6 hours playing, and 4 of those hours re-running, over and over the same area's because of the freezes.

I've got the same problem. In the Beta was everything fine, but since release there are many random freezes in offline and online mode. I was testing it with different graphic settings, but no chance. I like to play this game a lot and I try to love it, but these bugs man.

i have the same issue. I was waiting for the patch before writing here but my game keeps freezing randomly until it crashes.
And there is no crash reporter after it.

CPU: AMD Fx 8320
GC: 1050ti

I also randomly crash / freeze often. It's been happening at a higher frequency in Act3 with my sorceress.

I use a GTX 1070 / 16 GB DDR4 RAM / 1 TB M.2 Drive / Windows 10 Pro

High settings.

I like to use light bringer to dive on packs then immediately cast Solarfall. Not sure if its related; im just giving information that may be relevent.

Also getting constant random freezes. Music still plays, cursor still moves, but everything else is non-responsive. Then Wolcen goes Not responding in the task manager. I am playing offline mode only and it has taken me 16 hours to get to Chapter 2, because I have to keep replaying massive areas after it breaks.

Also: please cloud save offline characters. I had to start over now after I formated my PC in the hopes that it would fix the freezing problem. It didn't. So far I've restarted Chapter one 3 times...

I have the same problem. I really want to play the game... But can't... Sometimes I can play for 15 mins and sometimes for 30 seconds.

I have exactly the same problem. Game keeps freezing randomly after about 60mins of playing, while music is still playing and cursor is moving fine. Usually this happens during offline expeditions.

Game freezes, in 100+ level maps
stays frozern till i have to use task manager to close game

tried resolution right down to 1200
and settings on low, still froze

Possible fix! I was part of the FX 8350 C: drive goes to 100% freeze group. I first tried manually increasing page file size, as constant heavy transfer to and from drive might mean overuse of Virtual memory - auto had it at 3GB, I set to up to 64gb. No improvement but worth a try maybe.
What DID seem to fix it was moving the game from C: to another drive, to get it away from system stuff and page files. Steam allows you to do it internally rather than uninstall and reinstall, buried in Properties bit in steam.
WHen I have time I shall try moving page files to another drive to stop hammering C: on principle, and prob reduce size a bit.
