Unkown ETA

Is getting annoying, especially after having 2 times given a time that the servers would be up and running, once prior to the FULL DAY of downtime, and now when they were supposed to be up is just rediculous.

The server maintenance is still ongoing and we want to make sure that everything works properly and is back to normal. The maintenance is extended and we will keep you informed as soon as we have an ETA to share with you. Thank you for your understanding.

If you think that coming here and rant about it will change anything, I've got bad news for you.

What you can do is to go play offline and try skills n stuff.. or you know, go have a social life.

That's what I'm referring to my dude :) The fact that it was like that for 4-5 hours prior to them giving us an ACTUAL ETA which was 12 hours AFTER they posted that an hour before it comes up they go back to 'undetermined time' basically, majority of people bought the game to play online, and offline is full of bugs and and rerolls/deletions of progress and playing that is just risky and pointless.

We have to be patient ... I also wanted to play it today and break some "heads" but actually there were problems in the servers, so I hope they solved definitively :)

Yes, welcome to software development. Sometimes you don't know exactly what is causing the issue and that can make it pretty hard to give an accurate estimate as to how long it will take to fix. Also nothing EVER takes as long as you think it will, almost always takes longer.

They said on twitter soomething about already fixed it but they want to test it before release it for players. Thats why extended maintance continue

For all those taking the sides of the devs. Let me just say, If you go out to eat and buy a nice steak, and then it doesn't come the way you asked it to be cooked, you send it back right? Because you did not get the product you wanted. Often times they say " oh we are very sorry, we will make you a new steak the right way, and give you a free dessert." or maybe they knock off some of the bill. Bottom line is when you pay for a product and it does not get to you as it was supposed to, it is normal to be upset.

its enough!

when starts the server?

holy ....

I just think the communication could be a little better i do not do social media and I have to hunt all over the forums to get a status update. Please put status updates some where convenient on the website maybe under official news.

Not going to say I don't agree, but give these guys a break.
I'm just as eager as anyone else to get going with the game, but I'd rather have a proper server to play on instead of one that crashes every 10mins.

You can argue that they should've anticipated this, but I don't think anyone expected the succes it had last night.

And if that steak would be big enough to eat from every night for the rest of my life, I'd be upset too. But comparing that, to this, is comparing 2 completely different things with eachother.
This is a game, learn to tolerate these kind of things or don't starting gaming online. It happens...

You're absolutely right. We have the right to complain. But understand that fixing an online game isn't as easy as doing a steak over. Seems like they mismanaged the launch, underestimated the volume of players, didn't have proper stress testing before launch. It's still their fault but getting back on track from something like this can take time. More complaints won't make it any faster. Just try every now and then to login, as I am doing, and if it doesn't work just go and do something else. It's not like Wolcen is the only game in the world, or the only thing to do.

All you guys defending "they couldn't anticipate the playerbase" and such are ignorant to the fact they can see the sales, and it only took them 2 days AFTER all the crashes to "uprade the servers" they could have done so initially, didn't do it. Thus it's their fault for being ignorant.

As if they're the only ones that have had this issue. Diablo 3 was unplayable for 2 days at the release, and this is Blizzard we're talking about. They have/had all the experience in the world.

Get the stick out of your ass, play something else, do something else, w/e.

Blizz's problems come from them being ddos'd whenever they release something you twat. They still suck, but its not because they "didn't expect the player base"

I agree.
I am not looking to make excuses for anyone but as hard as you try you can never predict server load or how well load balancers are going to work until you actually throw the switch.

I will offer this though, a public test realm is always a good way to evaluate for best guesses before going live.

At least the game has an offline mode so it's not a total dead donkey right now :)

An open beta phase would have predicted the server load after launch...

And for the first product of Wolcen Studios, this game is probably live or die for the company... so trying to anticipate worst case scenarios to prevent something like that should be done beforehand!
