Is there a search facility on these forums and, if so where is it?
I may be just missing it, but if it is not a search facility may I suggest one is added.

I am seeing lots of duplicated threads.
I think this is probably because there does not seem to be a search function and people are creating new threads because they do not realise their topic has already been raised. (also, I cannot see any simple way to link people who have open a thread to an existing thread).

Yes, these forums are missing a lot of basic features. For instance, there is no upvote system, no rating and therefore no way to sort by rating, popularity, replies etc. Take browsing Builds & Guides for example, its terrible how am I suppose to be the next Alkaizer if I can't even copy his build.
