I mean, these are just platforms that are a lot more suitable for real-time updates than an official website or its forums. If you can't be bothered to use Twitter, Reddit or Discord that's kind of on you at this point. "Not giving them traffic" is kind of a moot point - almost any website you visit will have some JS requesting the latest tweets (or a specific tweet) from some Twitter account.

I don't think you need to resort to calling someone childish simply for asking for official updates to be posted on the official forums.

I do agree with OP that official notices should be posted on the official forums; for many players this will be the first place to check for updates on server status, and in the Venn diagram of players who use Twitter and/or Reddit and/or Discord, this forum is in the centre.

Please consider why OP is asking what he is asking first. It is very reasonable to request Dev to give updates via their titled game website. I too had to check both here and tweeter twice already today to find out the latest updates.

I have never seen in the past where Devs communicate only via social media and no updates on their titled game website. It is rather annoying that I am finding info on tweeter and nothing on their main website to be honest.

In addition to being gratuitously negative towards the OP, I would point out that IcyRespawn undermines his own argument: If the devs do not want to manually update their official website, then as IcyRespawn points out, they could embed their twitter feed in the official website to provide updates in parallel automatically.
