About you game and why you just killed it.

im not mad that you are fixing things. trust me im a fan of that. BUT!

Now that you game is kinda unplayerable in alot of ways. Its seems wierd to me, that the only thing that can actually end up with ppl finding all these bugs, you end up destroying in 1 patch.

Let me remind you that without cheating/duping and all that, its hard to lvl you skills up to lvl90. Well atleast now that we cant do 187 content smootly, So what you actually did, when u destroyed the only thing that made it possible for poeple to get to that point where they could acutally try out other builds, you ended up with a game that is now totally unplayable (in a sense where we could actually help you guys finding these bugs.) that im actually 100% sure there will still be after you use a few month trying to fix all the damage bugs and stuff. becuase when you are at that place, then poeple will play it and will probally end up, with bugs and stuff that doesnt work again.

SO WHY THAT HECK ARE YOU REMOVING THE ONLY THING THAT CAN TAKE POEPLE TO THAT PLACE WHERE, IT WOULD ONLY HELP YOU GET EVERYTHING IN PLACE ???? I DONT FUCKING GET IT.

you just kill you game in 1 patch, and im not sure most of the poeple you lost, and u lost alot of poeple in 1 single patch.
Poeple didnt care about overpowered uniq to legendary upgrades. ( some did but then again )

Without poeple able to do highest content, it will then take 100times longer to get skill items and stuff to try out other things.
If u cant do highest content, why did u make it so damn hard to hit lvl 90 ??? becuase if ppl can only do 151 for an example. it takes i dont know how much longer to get to a point where u have all you skill at lvl90 saved up items to try out other skill. ( and first then u begind to find out what you did wrong with everything els ) you dont do that know. when poeple are trying out builds with totally low lvl skills and gear that sucks.

Becuase most of the bugs were found at high lvl content, and build that was overpowered. RIGHT ?? SO WHY REMOVE IT ??????

YOU HAVE A GAME THAT doesnt work. WHY THE HECK MAKE IT WORSE ??? haha, biggest fault in you live. becuase now it will just take u years to find out all this crap. good luck with u game. if u keep on this path, then u already lost everything

I've been in support of the devs for 4 years now, but I'm slowly getting tired of it. I wish they would play their own game and realize what kind of sadists they have become (not to mention how little they kept of the promised features). People play games for relaxation and fun, not to jump from an 8 hour shift into another bloody job. I haven't had the pleasure to enjoy any of those broken builds since I always play what I feel like playing and do my own builds. So far the fun factor of this game has been the campaign... more or less. Everything afterwards is boooooooooooooooring and tedious, and for what? What's the "end game"? Do I get to 90, get some nice gear and then what?! I don't know if the devs are familiar with other games and how they started, like Ubisoft's The Division. Opponents nothing but bullet sponges. Nobody liked it one bit. It took them a year to make the game enjoyable but over that 1 year they didn't get as much hate as this game and I'm really starting to think all that hate is justified and being a small indie company is no excuse for this mess. To give some good examples: Guild Wars 2 and similar games: leveling is fun and easy, and in a moderate pace. The end game is about getting skins and do seasonal events, Here's the best part: everything is story driven, interactive, and the world is alive. You see NPCs talking, there are minor events everywhere where you can join in and help the NPCs. One would imagine with so many good games out there they would have gotten some inspiration, but sadly no.

There are a lot kinds of people around, there the ones that play a game only following guides and other mega-successful(?) that are really good at the game with only one purpose in mind: not enjoying the game at all. On the other hand there're others that play the game by themselves discovering a lot of playstyles that they only care about because that playstyle suits them.

That said, all the crying players for the nerfs on the last patch are only of the first group, we all know that. And that kind of people just go away with the proper actions, because bad players HATE balance, they always want to be on the winner side. The good player is the one that actually plays the game, he doesn't care about anything else than having fun, you don't have to compete with anyone than with yourself, otherwise you're not a pure player, you're a competitor too, with a nice pinch of stress and hate on it.

Goodbye crybabies, we won't miss you (and no other game will neither) <3.

Devs, please listen to the people who are still playing the game. I understand the game is may not have turned out the way you envisioned, with that being said, every time you "fix" and I mean break builds that people have spent time on, you are only showing us the game is not worth our time. Now we have the fear, if we find something that works, its just a roadmap to your next patch that will break whatever we were enjoying.

I am not sure who prioritizes your list of fixes but balancing should not be above crashes and missing items. We loved the fact the game was easy to run thru and have fun with and we didnt have to spend month or years to get to the end content. IMO, you should have balanced by buffing so it would have been easier for other classes to have the same dmg. From there, you could have added a harder mode making the mobs harder (regen abilities, toughness, life).

Bugs are going to happen in any game but use them to your advantage and learn from it. With each update you are doing now, you are losing more and more ppl. You should take that as a sign that the way you are fixing it is not the way your audience is wanting. If you cant decide or you are not sure, put a poll and listen to the feedback.

What's up with the Wolcen Defense Corps always saying stuff like "you play off-line!", "you only follow guides!", "you cheat!", "you don't know about the creative process of making a build!"

What does it have to do with anything?

Created: 4 years, 2 months ago

I honestly couldn't care less. I played with summons and couldn't even complete expeditions at my own level. So to see someone crying about not being able to do lvl 187 anymore? Fuck you

I think you missed the point. Imagine that you could clear your level and 20 levels higher and now you login and have to go back 40 levels to do all over again when nothing in your build changed. Lvling is not the issue. As you go higher, you will discover more and more bugs and issues. They need to fix and buff so more people can help find these issues. At lower levels, they are much harder to see.

I agree that bugs should take priority but BE skill and all the gold duping/exploit also needed to be prioritized for the sake of the long term economy.

If you look at everything in the patch notes it's been a mix of both and there has also been an outcry to fix major broken passives (like Faith Leech and Primordial Insight) which they've been getting around to.

Yes bleeding edge needed to be fixed but they changed the game play in the manner of which they fixed it which is what more people have a problem with. The game does not have leader boards so its more like you are cheating yourself. Its not like there is a pvp part of the game where someone has a clear advantage. Most people play solo or with friends so its not really effecting other peoples game play. If the nodes on the passive tree were working correctly, this would help other builds be more viable. At this time, the developers seem to be taking the approach of, nerfing anything that seems to be working and not fixing the other issues that people are really having. Duping should be fixed, missing items, crashes, bugged out mobs, these are some of the examples they should be trying to fix before moving onto balancing builds. The forum seems to show ppl like the high numbers and faster clears. Stick with that. Dont make it to where it takes longer to clear only to have the game crash. Waisting 5 mins, no biggie. After a long day of work only to join a game where you keep having your game crash and you cant progress, only leads to more people not playing and going elsewhere.

I keep playing because I really do enjoy the game and it does have a lot of potential. Ppl going broke in game because we have to respect every time they think they fix one thing but in fact break other things as well. If it was 2 -5 respecs I could understand but a lot of us are well over 20 respects just so we can test passives and see what is working or what is possibly making the game crash. If anything, we have become more creative in builds but then its only a matter of time before the devs will feel 'thats not working as intended' and break them as well.

The respec fee needs to be brought down yes.
The game play bugs need to be fixed asap, yes.

Complaining it takes longer to clear a level because of dmg after a dmg nerf to a severely OP skill is not a valid argument though. If you want faster clears you're going to have to lower the expedition level now. There is no way anyone should be steamrolling through max lvl zones especially when hardly anyone is even max level yet.

i think you will miss the "crybabies" especially when the devs go belly up from the "crybabies" leaving and the extra negative reviews from this.
No money, no devs, no game...
And no, I wasnt someone smashing through 187, I had only just reached lvl 70 with my BE character as I also had a pistol build going as well.
My pistol/turret build which was my first hit a ceiling where it cant even do expeditions its own level, I then built a BE build to help out the mage which didnt really work as pistol builds only go so far, and was enjoying BE, until yesterday.
All they had to do was dial down the damage on BE and boost up things like pistols/turrets/bows/summons etc and fix bugs.
They failed miserably, whether its a fatal fail, well it could be..
I dont know if I can be bothered starting a whole new character, or doing a whole new respec. Im on the edge myself of walking.
EDIT: I have given it a crack, moved around some things and got it playable again, but if they keep doing it tthis way im out. I still want to play my pistol build, but its still useless..

Now that I think about it... what you said is one of the major factors that had me hooked on this game. The over the top damage had me rolling on the floor. I don't believe the whole "what was intended" thing. I think the over the top is what they intended but listened to the feedback from the wrong group of peeps. There is no way they could have missed how powerful that skill was.

As it stands, I only have a couple hours a day to play so I will decide over the weekend if I will continue to bang my head on the wall. I haven't made it to the 187 yet due to work and all. If i don't find a build replacement by Sun then I will hang it up and go play Ark or something else.

I feel ya on that... but breaking a skill by adding cooldown on one of its major runes was not the way to go. Lowering the damage output was the right call.

If "steamrolling" was a major draw for players then Wolcen should own "steamrolling" and laugh all the way to the bank by giving players the god-like steamroll that brought them here... just another way to look at it.

How about this: Those of us who haven't made it to the end yet are quite a ways off due to real life shiz. The ones that have made it... are no-lifing it to the end by playing all day, everyday. That's not even a realistic demographic.

There's going to be some drop off soon due to POE. It will be interesting to see how many stick around. Currently dropping off is not a problem since they already have your money. But it will be if they don't know what they want to be. I am willing to bet that more people will pay for being overpowered than not. We are human and we love to destroy shiz... plain and simple.

I will spend 50 bucks so I can blow some shiz up. There is so much satisfaction in watching them "all float down here". Ok enough rambling for now but you get the idea.

without a strong community from the start that is happy with the game, there is no in the future to buy updates or whatever. Cos at that point no one will follow this game and its just going the bleed out.

remember also that this year loads of cool games are being released.

So i think its important for a fresh game to have a strong community thats grows.

I reckon the entire idea of the B-menu was to at some point add MTX's to it.
But if the game keeps being a train wreck no one will spend a dime now or later
