Spells interact with other players...

Hi,

my biggest wish 4 an upcomming Arpg is that my spells interact with spells of other players... Combopowers.

Examples:

-Mage casts a fireball at me as a shieldcarrier. I can deflect/redirect the fb at the enemys. But the fb now is buffed with some sort of extra power. That power depends on the skills i have activated on my shield.

  • 2 Mages can (like magica) cast a beam that focuses their Power to a extra strong Beam (maybe to shoot on that shieldguy to redirect the beam on the enemys or on another groupmate that gets an extrem dmg buff while wirlwinding through the enemy lines..)

Just 2 cases i can imagine... but there is much more potential... Bossfights which can only be won in combining powers.. Items that buff the Combopower in adding other effects.



What are your thoughts about that idea?

Hi Henkstar,

There are currently several spells modifiers allowing you to change the behavior of a skill and interact with other players.
There are not doing things as complex as you described, but for example fireball (consuming embers) and chain lightning skill can be modified so they provide bonus damage to allies hit by the skill.
More modifiers like that are planned, also the skill Sacred Ground can be modified to be casted on any target and follow its movement.

So you have several cool ways to interact with allies and players :)

Sorry but.. Buffing another player is not that kind of interacting i ment.

The first Arpg that makes the decribed features possible will be king of the hill!

And complex is not impossible
