Probably a stupid question, but I was wondering if any decent ones drop?
I mean, I got a legendary one at level 19 which then was pretty awesome. I'm now level 33 and I have yet to see another one drop that's an improvement dps wise. This while I've seen a fair share of 2H Axes and stuff look to have double the damage that I have.
I mean, I don't mind a challenge, but this is getting rather painfull.

They do seem to be on the rarer side when leveling.
However, I'd like to add that currently weapon dmg on staffs does not scale your spell dmg for whatever reason they decided on this. So they end up being kind of subpar anyways.
This is why you see people using a catalyst and gun or whatever + catalyst because you can get more sockets and affixes overall. But if you're still leveling I would not worry about that for now.
Wolcen is an ARPG like any other game subject to RNG loot but yes, I did find more melee weapons than staffs early on. They drop a lot in the endgame mode later.

Thank you for letting me know about the pistol + catalyst combination. I feel the same way about 2H staffs being underpowered. As a 2H which uses both weapon slots, it should at least have higher mod rolls then a 1H weapon and more socket numbers.
