I am level 54 and only getting level 41 drops if i do an expedition i can select level 43 and bump it up to level 43 drops. Is this working as designed? I hope not and i hope its a bug. Also if i play with a friend who is a lower level he will get drops for my level.

In menu, go to settings>gameplay settings> and click "show item level"
Item level will now show in the top right corner of the item.

sure lvl goes up, but stats wise noithing much changes once you lvl up, and unique items stay the same no matter what, so loot wise the game is pretty lack luster

Not all uniques stay the same, but yes a lot of them do. I have two "Edgy" for instance. One at level 32 and one at level 99. The +Ferocity and +Material Damage are very similar, but the damage stat is scaled way up compared to a lower level version.
111-230 on level 32 version vs. 296-486 on the level 99

Good to know.
I made another thread asking people to post pics of their high lvl gear and it does appear the 90+ loot has higher raw dmg and magical dmg rolls, while the other properties tend to remain around the same level.
