Safe From Afar - bugged or unactive?

Today I tested Safe from Afar skill: https://wolcen.wiki.fextralife.com/Safe+From+Afar

And in my opinion its bugged. How can we know, how can we find out how much it will be these 15m in the game on the screen of my monitor?

I guess you could imagine the scale comparing it to the character size, i mean... 10x character size = more than 15 meters... If it's not a dwarf! :D I think i can intuitively have an ok feeling of the distance.

I would like some official or at least confident answer about this also, as with my current ranger, which is lv75, i am tempted to get that perk but that would mean 3 painful passive points to get and i would like to know if it would work with my gunslinger skill beforehand!

Has anyone tested? I will if not... i'll come back and post my observations when i get that perk!
(i think i'll test on another character, as it will be faster and also, i have all sorts of damage bonuses on the main char which would make the observation more unclear)

I'm pretty sure it worked in the beta and it was huge boost in damage (but then again we barely had any +damage nodes that overshadowed it). I didn't try it at release as I don't want the +1 pierce node. It fucks up Wintry Hail.

I'll know soon, already have a second range character and i'll test this within the next days and come back to confirm.

Thanks for your reply. My feeling is that it does work, just not sure about the mage projectiles like fireball, i'll test this also while i'm at it!

It's not working. The 15m range is at the edge of the screen.
Also it is said it is scaling UP TO 15m for max damage (175%) and this, means it should scale even for close enemies but it is not.

I have tested with with spell projectiles (fireball, ice spear, tear of etheliel) so it might just be that spell projectiles are bugged with this node and not bow/pistol projectiles skills.

It should be 10m not 15m anyways, pointless to have max damage on enemies you can't see.

Well, Mark of Impurity has 8m range and seems more like 3m if I had to guess the distance by eyeballing it. Based on that 15m should be well within visible range, especially towards the corners of your screen.

Yes it worked in the beta.
No it's not working atm and have been listed in 1.0.4.0 known issue. We'll get something in the patch note if it get fixed.

Interresting! Didn't know the limit of mark of impurity in meters! And indeed, it feels goddam (too) close! They should raise that very limit!

tested it with havoc orb and did nothing to damage, using dagger+catalyst, definetly bugged skill
