Tyrants Bane (Seigebreaker tree) got nerfed too hard

Not to say it didn't need the nerf, the +50 was insane, but why not leave it as a whole number? Like +2-5 would make it different than the other two nodes, which share the same name as eachother, but this one now too, has the same effect and they don't feel like they're worth taking even with a tanky block based setup at all. Could we maybe get a small bit of power back on that please?

I agree that there needs to be a fix. In the current state, there is not a point of going one-handed. One-handed should be near two-hand damage but, not equal

However that may be hard to balance. The damage applies to all forms. This includes spells. If the Devs implemented something like I suggested with the Unflagging Prayer change, then that could throw things out of whack with spells. Sacred would do more damage than the other spells

At this time, I can only think of changing it to Attack Damage

Fixing that is only one step to fixing melee though. Another issue that should get resolved is Furious Appetite. You spend so much effort getting to that node, only for you to still have willpower. This forces builds to spam Rage Potions. If you are going to buy a unique node, it should alter the game in a way that is worth it

There is not any willpower melee skills so that is not as worth it unfortunately. Even if there were, you should never get Willpower with Furious Appetite

Now that is another issue for sure! I agree that melee users need some form of willpower sink because where I'm at chugging those Ultimate Rage Potions even with a ton of reduction costs,
Heck I've still got issues with rage even with cost reductions and generation on my items/skills at level 70 (over 100% cost reduction and lots of gaining rage from other sources).
Like I've been trying to grind that one unique shield that grants the casts of sacred spells, as some form of willpower dumping to help out (plus it'd just go well with my fiery holy build)

+5 would be insane. you can get a shield with what? 40% block? 50%? if u have a 40% block shield and ur getting 5% damage per block thats 200% damage for that one small node.... in a game where the other small nodes are generally 8%, 10%, 12% damage. If they set it to +2 then its giving you 80% damage, thats also crazy.

at 0.5 it will give you 20% damage if you have a shield with good block on it, which makes it better than almost all the other small % damage nodes on the tree.

i get that furious appetite node on all attack builds and i dont use rage potions on any of them. there is a point in 1h, it lets you use a catalyst so you can hammer out spells with the willpower you generate. i feel like theres potions, using your rage generator default attack, casting spells or investing into max rage and resource cost reduction, those are the ways u can deal with ur resouce swing. i dont think ur forced into potions, i dont use resource potions on any build ive played so far, or my default generator attack for the most. i actually use frenzied blows, the node after furious appetite on all my attackers and i generally stick above 750 rage with my skills costing double most of the time.

you can use the warcry and various other skills that generate rage too, the leap slam skill generates, if ur using pistols/bows the rail gun has a node that generates rage, theres a node on the tree that gives rage back on kill, nodes that amp the amount of rage you get when ur hit. a combo of some of the options seems to work in my experience. i have a pistol build with a shield and that stays above 750 rage pretty easy using the warcry, the rage on kill and the rail gun. the melee ive tried tend to use spells. teleport, anomoly, ice storm etc have really good utility.

Bane of Tyranny and Brutal Imposition needs to be something higher because the highest damage 2H I have seen, is 1,500. For 1H, I saw 600. 1H is far behind in terms of scaling and damage. Though I will agree it will be hard to balance. Highest block shield I have seen so far, is 55%

Most 2H builds I have seen are at least +110% damage from passives. That means 1H would have to be at a higher percent than that, to stay relevant. As it stands, even a 2H build can be as tanky as a shield and 1H build. I would know because I am a 2H build. There was times I outlasted a "tank"

It is true you can use Warcry and Wings of Ishmir but, the Warcry has a cool down. Wings of Ishmir can only be used as many times as your stamina regeneration allows

Rail Gun is a completely different build than what is being discussed however.. I will point out that the Rail Gun does require a bow/gun if you aren't using the Bio unique chest piece. Highest damage bow I have seen is 800. Once again behind 2H melee
