DoT-Ailments build [2]

I'm currently on level 71 and before the last patch was doing Exp 100+ with such ease that I finally got to think I started to understand the concept and mechanics of the game and the ailments. I havent played in like 2 or 3 days and I came back to find my build somewhat bricked again. I'm not sure which nodes were affected but My damage was considerably lower in the last 106 or 109 exp I did. Took at least a minute to kill yellow mobs and around 5 minutes to kill the boss from the first map (then I gave up because I didnt want to spend 30 minutes on a single exp).

I am using 3 ailments, and I have the 5 stacks of each all the time, which I think it means that I'm applying the ailments with ease, but, on the other hand, my damage seems low. Even tho the tooltip from poison didnt change it is taking ages to kill mobs. Did ailments nodes get nerfed and therefore I have somekind of setback that kicked me back in my progression? Or am I missing something?

Ailment damage didn't get nerfed but there were a few things that got nerfed/fixed. The time weaver node 'which time cannot heal' was bugged and causing the extra damage to apply many times per cast, this has now been fixed. Bleeding edge had a massive damage nerf plus the rune which extends its duration also adds a cooldown to the skill. Also bulwark of dawn was doing too much damage so they made the dot tick slower, this affects the speed at which you apply ailments with the spell and the dps of the spell. On the bright side, the cabalist node 'primordial insights' is now working which means you will get more ailment damage if you crit.

I had Ailment based mag before path and cleared 160 no problem
after patch that was impossible i was struggling with 140

then I found some guide , changed everything in pasives from ailment based to crit based dam and now im much better ... not good as before patch but way better then with my original build ...

I managed to clear one 160lvl today ... much harder then before but still managed....

Crit build is atm better option , yes ....
