I want to know more, please!

Hey.
First of all, this game is amazing. Breath of fresh air. Thank you so much for this pleasure!
But there are many questions.

Is there some kind of table, with explanations, what type of damage do spells and skills belong to?
For instance:
Elemental Damage - (....)
Physical Damage - (....)
Occult Damage - (....)
Material Damage - (....)

I am new to this game and play practical blind, nowhere in the game there is no information with tips. Only the background color of the skill, but this is not enough.
I am level 62 sorcerer, but so far I can’t clearly understand how material damage differs from physical damage.
Which is better for a pure magician, elemental or material damage, because 90% of the stats on a sorcerer's equipment are either material or occult.
I do not want to be a warlock with curses. i am 13 years old warlock in WoW. Here I want to be a pure magician, a crystal cannon.
I don’t understand where to develop my character.

Is there some kind of site with rating tables of characters like diabloprogress?
Either I can’t search, or there is very little information and the entry threshold for beginners is too high. The same Diablo 3 for me now seems to be a children's sandbox, compared to Wolcen.

Please, without insults, direct me to the true path, I really like this game, I want to continue to develop, but I do not see clear paths.

If you Press C and look at your character, you can see what affects "occult" "Material" "Elemental". Granted the tooltips arent obvious but they are there. Hover or click over things in your C screen, Occult is shadow(cursed) / aether(stasis) / sacred (weakness), Material is Physical)stun) / rend(bleed) / Toxic(poison) and elemental is fire(burn) /frost(freeze) / lighting(shock).

Everyone is new to the game, it came out a few weeks ago....No sites as well developed to hand-hold your development but if you want to ask questions the community will help you.

As far as spell casters go, I am a pure caster main at the moment and all I can say is... it does get better with passives. Willpower was struggle but at 55+ it got easier. make sure you have gear that has reduced cost, generation etc.

The description of damage categories is in your inventory screen. Its quite amazing you are level 70 and havent noticed it yet.
Material = physical, toxic, rend
Elemental - thats obvious
Occult - the rest
Thats it.
Then you have ailments, which are basically DOTs, they are thoroughly described in the character status sheet. When you an enemy with fire, he can burn, if you hit him with cold, he can freeze. Passive tree Cabalist supports this.
Every skill has tags, eg. spell + projectile. If you take passive node +12% projectile damage, then skills with Projectile will benefit from it.
There are no sites with tables like diablo because the game is 2 weeks old and someone has to develop those sites, its not like they just appear out of the blue.
Your questions:
1) How physical damage differs from material - it doesnt, physical is material
2) For pure mage definitely Elemental is better than material. There is tons of skill points however, you can do both elemental and occult, its better in fact as some occult curses are massively powerful.
3) Elemental damage on items is not dropping because loot table is bugged and my bet is it will be fixed next Wednesday.

I am ashamed, I always scrolled through the Resistance Types section, but the hint was there all this time))
This did not bother me in the game, with survival so far everything is fine, so I never looked there.
Now everything is becoming clearer. Thanks a lot!
