Yup, that (and similar variants) are pretty much it if you want to play a mage with a bow.

My bow was good - until i found a pistol with more damage. Pistol + 1h weapon and you can you melee skills. Pistol + catalyst and you can use magic.

I went from bow to 2h and the damage is twice as much.

but keep in mind that wudjio build only works when u can use explosions from mark of impurity, and its quite tricky to play without the trial belt, if they nerf explosions build will simply not work

Unfortunately there currently isn't much reason to use a bow right now.
They don't do more damage than pistols, they don't have stronger affixes than pistols, and nothing can go in the offhand which means you effectively lose a stat stick. At any rate, I messed around with a lot of stuff and it seems to me the only viable skill for a non-ailment build is Havoc Orb w/ Baptism of Hail and the rocket rune. Combos nicely with Anomaly, which again you can't use with a bow unless you are crazy lucky with your Wrath of Sarisel drops.

If you go extremely heavy into ailment stacking it seems that Gunslinger's Mark can potentially help melt bosses but that is based on videos, not personal experience.
