Hi there, sorry if my english is bad.

I'm playing pistol and 1H too. Without playing with bleeding edge i run 6 ailment type (everything but lightning) and i cleared yesterday 175 to 177 (second try because i'm an ass) and i'm level 76.
I play more as a ranger than a melee but how about you ? how do you play ?

what i like in this build is an utility of it. Some bosses are easier to face with melee skills and some are easier with ranged. Lets be honest, this bombing skill deals tons of dmg. im lvl 50 and i deal 20k dmg per bomb.. and i have 3 of them.
Bleeding edge is super nice to clear and self healing.
Skill tree i have so far:
https://wolcen-universe.com/builds/yw5QPG-pirate-1pistol-1-hand-weapon

I still wonder if there is any reason to put my points in agility.
What this game needs is a dummy (training grounds) .. so you can check your dmg easly.
Share your ideas please, lets make this build work nice.
about skills:
so far i go for bombs, bleeding edge and icarus dive as my main dmg. But i keep wodnering about switching to gunslinger - as my main single target dmg and a dodge(bombs) skill insteed of icarus dive. phantom blades, as an extreme dmg upclose or midrange, and fortify as a panic button.
What i aslo wonder is to focus hard on elemental dmg (toxic fire etc) but im still not sure.
Gods amongs the man seems to be very tempting, so switching fire dmg to toxic and bleeding may be a case here.
Cheers.

Your tree is pretty strange i mean some choice does not reflect your gameplay or your skills choice, i mean no offense but as it is i have to try something based on your tree to make you a proper feedback.
About agility you can throw it away, you have enough attack speed nodes everywhere, just get some attack speed score on stuff (400-500) seems sufficient to me.

You're talking about bombs and dodge ? i didn't get it, is it Havoc or Evasion ?

EDIT : if you want to switch fire to material ailment, some of your perks will become useless (red node in 3rd circle especially)

Right so,
Skill tree is chaotic i agree, its actually my first h&s game after diablo 2 ive been playing so its still a bit confusing.
I know that fire dmg will be usless, i think of focusing on toxic mostly and maybe bleeding (there is a talent in caster tree for applying 2 ailments). What i want to do is to invest few points into assasin skill tree (change dmg to toxic) + 25% vs bosses + god among the men seem legit.
Now back to activ skills
I want to switch Wings of Ishmir (reason why i use it simple, it allows me to jump thru the enemies, and buff me up + quake dmg.) to Evasion, which seems to work well with toxic., aswell as it slows. That means i can take credit from +30% dmg talent vs slowed/stunned eniemies.
next, i think of changing Havoc Orb into Gunslinger's Brand. so far Havoc deals insane dmg and is gamebreaking vs bosses but i need to test gunslinger too. maybe i can use both.
Phantom Blades - i personally think that its top 2 best skills ingame, no rage cost .. massive dmg, with perk Gliding Friction (Effect: Leaves a trail for a few seconds that deals damage.) + toxic dmg ? seems to be something worth checking. just set up dots, and watch em suffer.
And finally Bleeding Edge, i think best skill in game so far. Easy clear and upclose dmg to bosses. No need to comment + life leech ... caaaman
I understand that my deff skills are poor, thats why I use Fortify as panic button, yet i think about switching it to Duskshroud, but to be fair only cuz it seems more matching to this idea of pirate/rouge build.
And finally in duskglave tree - waltzing smoke + bleeding edge, or havoc.

Take care about ailment damage. It is more difficult to handle than it seems to be.
If you play assassin with conversion physical to toxic you may have some issues with conversion ailment runes.
Here an example, if i have more poison and rend damage than physical, if i choose to convert physical to ... fire (random ailment but not bleed or poison) it will not work, your poison or rend ailment will overwrite your fire ailment since poison or rend deals more dmg than your converted physical damage. If you are playing only rend and poison it's fine but if you plan to convert Physical to something else (that is not poison or bleed) make sure to have a weapon with a good physical range. ( I don't know if you are aware of it so it is for information :))

Thanks for providing more details.
I'll try with your ideas at high exp, it should be interesting. I'll try with and without BE (i can't get this spell, make this game boring and easy af (same as GS and infinity blade) xD).

the idea is to have only these two or one ailment. (skipping the fire dmg tree skill)
Looking for your feedback mate, you seems to be a person who know what he does. Let me know if that work a soon you check it.
Cheers

Well, after BE nerf I lost the concept.. now having 1h weapon seems to be usless since there is no melee skill that deals bleed or toxic dmg

I'm still trying, had a hard time in 170+ but it goes pretty well in 151+. I'll try again tonight.
And yeah, BE has been nerfed hard but still viable without UM.
Keep the rune that increase skill duration by 1 sec, you'll be able to spam it, if you want to keep mobility you can apply bleed and poison with turrets.

Well even if you drop the concept i'll try until sunday and make you a proper fb, a build can still be viable without overtuned BE ;)

I did test the gunslinger inst of BE .. drops clearing speed drasticly, altho bosses are basicly melting at lvl 50-60

UPDATE
Ive recently came up with an idea to make this build a midrange combo build, but inst of BE I used Tracker's Reach (skill got extra Bleeding dmg!!!).
So far so good, what is crucial here is a Havoc Orb talent- Affinity for Destruction ( Reduces minimum range).
First you pull in all (Tracker's Reach) the enemies in, then Evasion (jump out) + Phantom blades + Havoc orb and finish with gunslinger.
Huge amount of toxic and bleeding dmg spreaded betweet all enemies.
This rotation allows to clear the map fast and easy.
Since you use 1 hand weapon, Juggernaut is still an option as extra survival and panic button.

I have come with the same conclusion about havoc orb it's useful whatever you play midrange or melee xD. I'll try with tracker's reach (it seems a good idea with Mark of impurity) but not with juggernaut. It won't be sufficient ( 18k dmg blocked every 5 sec for me) since i got OS (sometimes) with 90k hp and 19k force shield and ~35-44% resistance without shout. I'll try with sovereign shout instead (life leech, attack speed, all res, health orb, crit chance).
With Tracker's Reach i'll play with dusk instead of evasion. (curses for more dmg). Phantom blades for spreading and extra dps is nice and for DPS reason i'll play with Mark of Impurity. I'll put everything + mark and pack will explode and against one target i'll do the same + spam gunslinger. (shout is giving 300 rage point every 4.5 sec for me)

Overall the build is fun to play but i feel that something is missing/wrong. Playing with projectile seems not a good idea but Assassin style works well. Guess i'll try something else than Safe from Afar in Ranger, Well i guess i'll try harder tonight xD

"Overall the build is fun to play but i feel that something is missing/wrong." same imperession mate.
Maybe my stat build is wrong .. bah i am quite sure its wrong. (and ofc im missing the right gear)
Dusk is nice to use in order to speed your move around the map but imagine - whenever you pull in all enemies u have do roll or dusk while evasion is simply giving it for you for free + toxic dmg and slow.
I belive that if we try to improve it it may be a tier 2-3 build.. praobobly not 1 but who knows. Overall it feels fun which is the most important ;)
