Automatic attribute point increase is opinionated?

I choose the sorcerer when creating new character.

I want ferocity as my primary attribute, Agility as secondary, and toughness as tertiary,
So when leveling up I aways allocate 5 for ferocity, 3 for Agility, 2 for toughness.

But I notice after leveling up to level 15 or so that wisdom become my secondary attribute despite not getting any point from me.
I feel this negate the way I want to create my character.

Why is this the case? Is it because I pick the sorcerer when creating the character? If I choose archer will it make my agility more pronounce automatically?

It's because your Wisdom is your second-highest stat after gear and passives. Your spent points are only part of the equation. At the end of the day, the primary / secondary / tertiary status as applied by the game only determines how your +Damage% bonus is generated. Your character creation idea is still totally intact, but it will be more obvious if you gear more appropriately.

I see. So the number includes gear and passives. That make sense.
Thanks.
