Well i don't know, i managed to beat it on second try (because i discovered that he was broken during the first, as he became unkillable and wasn't patched yet) and with my golem taking him and me being pretty much left alone, it was a piece of cake, i had all the time in the world to carefully wait for his transformations and hit when i could without breaking it.
I am currently building a second char which is a pure melee brute, i'll see how it goes...
How much hp do you have? Maybe you went for a glass canon kind of character, that can make it tough, some nice hp pool always helps. I don't know mate... I'll just say good luck, you'll eventually find your way!

tyvm , i stay'd my glass build kited until he lost that extra shield and armor then i melted him:)
