I cant auto attack with out facechecking every pack of monsters in the game. Add a key that holds characters position while auto attacking. Holy hell i can't even believe this is a thing.

You can press shift while you auto attack, it will hold your character in one spot.

or just deactivate the auto attack in the game settings ^^
for me, auto attack makes only sense in melee combat, but that's only my opinion!

how do you sustain willpower without auto attacking?

my willpower reg is high enough and we don't need auto attack to generate willpower.... just attack
