Most Melee skills are so bad in this game!!!

I've tried Lightning Strike, Basic Staff / Arrow build, Aether Beam build... all of them OUT PERFORM any of my melee builds by a large margin. Melee attack damage is so low and Melee Basic attack is extremely slow and low damage. There is almost no point in dual wielding weapons.

Take Slayer's Flurry for example, I deal similar amount of damage by using One Dagger/ Catalyst and One Dagger / One Sword. Dual Wield should be slashing way more often with Slayer's Flurry. Damage is just horrible.


Did they beta test Melee skills? Most of them are so much inferior. I haven't tested everything but Whirlwind, Slayer Flurry, Basic skills are pretty trash.

Hmm... i'll see, i just started my second char, currently at Act 2, and it's a pure melee brute!
And i don't know, maybe late game i'll realise that it's not that good but for now, it kicks ass!

Try a staff build if you want to see what's really BAD, it's the worst. Or even Bow builds :)
Melee is far from being the worst.

He is obviously referring to 140+ rifts without spamming bleeding edge because its fucking boring but the only viable thing, everything else does way too little damage.

yep.

While playing the campaign i had fun with those chains that you swing around, but in rifts later on they hit the mobs like a bunch of noodles doing almost no damage.
