Oh boy where do we start...
- You randomly get empty maps so you can't complete them, so no reward for you. This is especially frustrating when it happens in the 3rd level of the map, because you've already cleared 2 levels. It's like clearing all levels of a GR in D3 just to realize there's not enough progression to spawn the boss.
- If you can spawn the boss then there's a high chance it will have so much HP and regen that it's impossible to kill. Again, leave game, no reward.
- There's only a handful of builds that are capable of clearing all endgame content and most of them are built around a unique item that spreads a broken debuff.
- Half of the passive tree doesn't work or bugged
- The vast majority of skill modifiers and passives gets serious diminishing returns as you level and gear up (% damage increases on skill modifiers are additive, so 20% at level 5 is a lot but since stats gives you % increases, you will have like 800-1000% damage increase from stats and gear at level 80ish. The additive 20% from a passive or skill modifier means absolutely nothing then)
- You can get 90% damage reduction from resistances, 100% block chance with 75% reduction and a passive which delays 60% of damage you receive by a second and it double dips in defenses, so all combined you receive only a bit more than 1% of the original damage (0.4x0.1x0.25 + 0.6x0.1x0.25x0.1x0.25) This already sounds stupid but sometimes bosses just oneshot you anyways because they choose to ignore all your defenses.
- The list goes on and on

Wolcen can be a great game if they fix all this crap, so do yourself a favor and play D3 or PoE until then so you don't ruin it for yourself.

I would not worry about a specific build too much, just play the story-mode in a fashion you enjoy (ranged, melee, spells, summon minions etc.). Once you feel like you've settled on a particular playstyle, there are lots of good (and regularly updated) build guides on social media platforms like youtube.com.

And as a beginner tip: there is a merchant in the starting town that sells skills for 2k gold - be sure to check her stock often and you can find interesting skills to try out.

Don't listen to these retards who tell you to get money back. The game is good for now and will be great in the future. It's a brand new game and sure there is some bugs and non calibrated stuff, but if u have patient with few updates the game will be improved and will become the best alternative to D3 and POE.

Enjoy the game, and don't worry about builds and gear. Just play it on story mode difficulty and after u finish the story, u can ask for some good builds.

Enjoy this beautiful game for now.
