If i hover over my spells, it says ailment - poison stacks:1 .. Is that correct or did i do something wrong?

EDIT: And also, if i understand this correctly i want Material damage, toxic/poison ailment damage on all my gear?

You'll only inflict 1 stack at a time (or 2 with the Power of the First Men node but it won't show up on the skill tooltip) but they'll stack up to 10 baseline or 20 if you have the two +5 stacks nodes from the Cabalist tree (and 30 if you get the other two +5 stack nodes in Time Weaver).

Toxic Emanations in the Plaguebringer tree :)

How'd you progress after the skill tree you pasted? Because I'm kind of struggling to get more dmg / ailment chance out of the build at lvl 45.

So, when you say willpower do you mean the wisdom stat? So I should keep toughness and wisdom at a 1:1+ ratio right? As far as I can tell "Willpower" is the "Mana bar" resource. Just want to be sure i dont dump more points than I should be.

Ah, I'm dumb. Yes, Wisdom, not willpower. Though at later stages, a few perk points in +max willpower goes a long way

I actually went quite safe, tried a few different builds in offline but the one that "felt the best" for me personally was quite invested in health and resistance, so that the late maps enemies wouldn't insta-kill you and so that you would always stay at full health when popping Bulwark(with store-bought gear lol).

I have a tree I'm testing out right now, but it is absolutely due to change. Give me a few sec

Edit* It's a bit of a problem since I want to make a character that's
1. Strong through the entire game(that's why I'm playing my main character online)
2. Viable in end game high level maps, which is... interesting to say the least on an "ungeared" maxed character for testing purposes. Sure, it hasn't died at lvl 90 while playing around against stuff, but I want it to be able to almost delete things in the higher map settings. I actually forgot to add extra ailments on this one I'm trying out ATM IIRC

BUT(!) you can absolutely drop a few points from stamina or even the lifeleech which didn't do anything tbh (tried it out if it worked with ailments, did not seem to be the case. Only direct damage) and put those points into timeweaver to get the extra +10 stacks.

Sure, but it will be on this maxed out character so depending on your characters skill level it is due to change :)

Emeralds(Support and Offensive 2/3) and Topaz for max health(Defence 3)!

Needs a bit more work. Sure, it can stand and facetank lvl 90 orange mobs with the gear from the shop and some random yellow drops even without bulwark(might even change it out endgame due to the completely outrageous healthreg) or any other skill/potion(except health-share with tanky boi), but I want some more damage out. 30-40k poison dots (non-crit) just feels to low as there are a lot of small targets all time(they all die instantly when the plagueburst clouds go pop though). Sure it's good on thicc bois as it's easy to get all the stacks up but there might be better ways to go about it.

I'm drooling over the idea of the Unique Agony, double the affliction damage.

Things I'm considering:
1. More movespeed/aether jump instead of bulwark for faster clearspeed and not losing invulnerability stacks from the siegebreaker(Heals twice my health a second lol).
2. More damage. (I'm hoping for Agony and some other quip to push the limits of ailments). There might be some perks in defence that can be lost for more damage.
3. Dyes. Not sure what colours I want
4. Could it be viable with another summon instead of the Bulwark and perking summon damage? I haven't tried out the bow zombies or suicide zombie version on lvl 90

I'm playing with your build, thank you very much. But everything is not as good as you describe. Can you record a gameplay video? Maybe I'm doing something wrong. 55 lvl periodically catch one shots.

Hi thanks for the guide! I've just one question; i think i didn't understand the point "3. Keep a 5/5 Thoughness and Willpower with Will being slightly higher to keep as primary." Can you explain the stat allocation?

Ale20080 Original Comment

if you start as a mage for your base class your wisdom starts higher then toughness, that coupled with the wisdom you get in the tree means if you split evenly your health and wisdom points that wisdom will always(assuming gear dousnt have crazy toughness) be high meaning that your free to allocate all that toughness for the hp pool and not loose out on the bonus of having wisdom be your highest stat

I haven't tested it too much but it's probably the combination of the node that gives a ton of regen while standing still and the node that staggers damage, they're also on a level 90 so that might be a reason.

I'm personally planning on trying this build but instead of the stamina nodes near the center I want to try the "which time cannot heal" node and anomaly as a 6th skill. Even if the node turns out to not work well with ailments anomaly is probably pretty good for grouping up trash and help with clearing.

Edit: also this is the transmog I want but it uses rare dyes and uniques :p

Edit 2: 5th? I meant 6th skill (the one you unlock) but it could also replace bulwark for those that feel they don't need it

Thank you!

Btw, if you or anyone else has encountered that bug that prevents Toxic Emanations from working properly (as in it doesn't work at all once you change areas), this is how I'm dealing with it: When I enter a new area, I simply open the passives window, select the outer circle (where Plaguebringer is located), move it once so it disconnects from the central core, then move it back again so it reconects. This "reactivates" Toxic Emanations for the curent area. Rinse and repeat.

I would say that the perk in siegebreaker that allows you to stand still and just get a ton of resistance and health regen while also stacking damage by not moving is one of the main abilities for keeping alive.

With all that percentage% of extra health and resistance you really want health + all resistance gear so that it shoots through the roof when standing still. And the shared life with big boi is a must, it feels like it almost halves(at least 25%) the damage taken when he's up

If there's trouble surviving, go Siege before timeweaver or Sentinel
